What will it feel like to have the life you desire?

You have the power and control to change your environment to create the life you want.

If you set up your environment as if something already happened, its more likely to happen for you. This sounds so simple, but most of us are not brave enough to take this leap and do this.

It’s a conscious choice to have your life be what you want it to be.

For example, within the past year, I fully decided that I wanted to be a writer. I mean, I’ve been writing for years, but I never really called myself a writer. I’d never taken a leap and published a book. I had never really shouted from the rooftops that I am a writer. I’ve always just written, and whoever reads it, reads it.

One day I decided to get serious about being a writer and started calling myself one.

Really, that’s all it takes. Since I started referring to myself as a writer, I have made it a daily practice to WRITE EVERYDAY.

I’ve also taken risks and hired someone to help me edit and publish my first book.

Most people say they know what they want in life, but are too scared to actually do it.

Most people say they know what they want their life to be but haven’t taken the time to get really specific about it (and it’s likely because they are scared). It’s a tough question: where will you be in one year, five years, or even ten years from now? How old will your kids be? Where will you be living? What will you be wearing? Driving? Eating? Drinking? Doing for fun? Doing for work?

Now that you’ve got the specifics figured out, let’s take it a step further. You’re actually going to ALLOW yourself to feel what it will FEEL like to actually be living that life you just described? Take some time to reflect on that feeling, write about it, and spend some time with it.

So what does being a writer FEEL like to me?

It feels like me showing up for myself first, writing my daily pages, recording my thoughts in voice memos, reading books, collecting notes from what I’ve read, taking time to write my new book, writing blog posts, sharing with the world my thoughts, passions, and purpose. I’m meant to share my story and my life, to help change other’s lives. It feels like impact, generosity, and giving. And it feels in alignment and so good.
